Our journey began with an in-depth exploration of Mumbo Jumbo's ethos—bold, playful, and unapologetically cheeky. We delved into the nuances of coffee culture, identifying a gap for a brand that combined premium quality with a sense of humour. This research phase was pivotal in shaping a brand identity that resonates with a diverse audience, from casual coffee drinkers to connoisseurs seeking a touch of levity in their daily brew.
Embracing a minimalist approach, we crafted a visual identity that is both striking and memorable. The design elements focus on clean lines, bold typography, and a vibrant colour palette, ensuring that Mumbo Jumbo stands out on any shelf. The playful nature of the brand is reflected in subtle design cues, balancing sophistication with a sense of fun.
The digital and physical touch points were developed to showcase Mumbo Jumbo’s personality through playful, hand-crafted illustrations and thoughtful layouts. Every visual element was designed to bring the brand’s humour and warmth to life, from packaging to online presence, without relying on animations, letting the illustrations speak for themselves.
The overarching concept for Mumbo Jumbo is to infuse the coffee experience with a dose of humour and personality. By combining high-quality beans with a brand voice that doesn't take itself too seriously, Mumbo Jumbo challenges the conventional norms of coffee branding. The result is a brand that not only delivers exceptional coffee but also brings a smile to its consumers' faces.
